This could be an issue with the audio ports on the motherboard as well. As sound card might be fine on the system and also drivers are loaded correctly. Are the sound ports are integrated to the motherboard or you have daughterboard connected to the main board. If it is separate port then kindly check if they are properly connected.
Open 'Manage Sound Device in settings and Test all the speakers that are in the list. Some other sound device may be in use and you do not know it. I have the same speakers and they are listed as Realtek(R) Audio, these are my default speakers. I also have in the list my 2 monitors and another Realtek Digital Output that I do not use.
On this wiki page, I suggest adding steps to create a task that kills OpenRGB On workstation lock that kills the current OpenRGB process with the action taskkill /f /im OpenRGB.exe. This resulted in a nice solution - now my PC would apply lights at boot and upon resuming and there would only be one instance of OpenRGB running.
Basically if I go into the console and click the surround right speaker the sound will come from the front right, and the surround left comes through the front left. So basically all audio comes out of the front speakers output. Sound comes through the front speakers as normal when the respective L/R speaker icon is selected in the console.
Sounds like just a driver problem, now that you mention the install/uninstall loop. Try the following: Download the latest Realtek driver from MSI. Then disable internet by removing the LAN cable or turning off WLAN in Windows, then uninstall the current Realtek driver, and install MSI's Realtek driver. It will probably want a reboot to install.
Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel. Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter. Follow the on screen instructions. Also try to enable & disable the Realtek high definition audio & check if the issue persists.
